Sand blasting

Principle of Pneumatic Spray Gun

Principle of Pneumatic Spray Gun

The air pressure input of the gun is mainly divided into direct pressure cylinder (DirectPressure Vessel) and indirect injection (Pressure Injection). Direct Pressure Vessel puts the abrasive in the pressure tank and applies 6-7 bar atmospheric pressure to spray the abrasive directly. The advantage is high pressure, but the disadvantage is that when you want to add the abrasive in the pressure tank, you need to pause the operation. However, if you need to blast continuously for a long period of time without interruption, you can use a dual pressure tank design so that you do not have to stop the operation to add abrasive.

In each type of sand blasting machine, the most simple is the sealed sand blasting room type, the operator can hold the workpiece through rubber gloves, foot spray gun switch, through the window to observe the sand blasting process, this type of spray gun is often used in conjunction with the impeller blasting, the spray gun is generally with the workpiece at a distance of 150-200mm, the treatment of the diameter of the range of about 30mm. second, sand blasting can also be divided into wet and dry, for example, the vacuum suction type (Pressure Vacuum) belongs to the direct pressure type and dry type, it directly sucks back the abrasive, mainly used for on-site maintenance work.

Wet jet type (Wet pressure) is an indirect injection type, which uses liquid (water or oily liquid) and fine abrasives mixed for sandblasting steps, can provide a more detailed surface texture. However, there are a lot of disadvantages of wet sand blasting, such as not suitable for ferrous metal workpiece, because it is easier to cause corrosion, and can not use steel shot as abrasive, processing time is longer.
