What is the sandblasting process?

Sandblasting is the use of compressed air as a driving force, the formation of high-speed jet beam, the abrasive high-speed jet to the surface of the workpiece to be processed, the outer surface of the workpiece caused by the impact and cutting effect. The mechanical properties of the surface of the workpiece are improved, thus improving the fatigue resistance of the workpiece, increasing the adhesion between it and the coating, prolonging the durability of the coating film, and also facilitating the leveling and decoration of the coating.
Sandblasting is a more thorough, versatile, rapid and efficient cleaning method. Among them, ceramic sandblasting can be chosen arbitrarily between different roughness, while other processes are not able to realize this. Chemical solvent cleaning, on the other hand, cleans the surface and is too smooth for coating adhesion, and hand sanding can produce a rough surface but is too slow.
